Siddhant Digvijay Jaitha: Carrying a Family Legacy While Building His Own

Being born into a fourth-generation business family comes with a built-in identity. Siddhant Digvijay Jaitha, Director at Atherton Engineering Co. Pvt Ltd, one of India’s largest importers of aircraft and aircraft spares, has spent his career figuring out how much of that identity to keep and how much to build for himself. The answer, for him, turned out to be both. Alongside the family business, he’s become an author, TEDx speaker, host of the SDJ Podcast, and a digital creator followed by nearly 100,000 people on Instagram.

“Being a fourth-generation entrepreneur has given me the privilege of carrying forward a legacy built on integrity, relationships, and excellence,” Jaitha says. “At the same time, I wanted to create an identity that reflected my own passions and purpose.” Aviation stayed central to his life through the family business, but it wasn’t the only direction he wanted to grow in. “I expanded my journey into writing, public speaking, podcasting, and digital content creation,” he says. “Every venture has taught me that leadership is not about titles or inheritance—it is about continuously learning, adapting, and creating value.” Personal setbacks shaped that outlook as much as his successes did. “My experiences, successes, failures, and personal health transformation have all shaped me into a leader who believes in inspiring people while building businesses with purpose.”

Old Values, New Tools

Running a legacy business while building new ventures means constantly deciding what to protect and what to change, and Jaitha has a clear framework for making that call.

“I believe tradition and innovation should complement each other rather than compete,” he says. “The values my family instilled in me—trust, discipline, ethical business practices, and long-term relationships; remain the foundation of everything I do, echoing what it takes when starting a business in Dubai without connections.” None of that has stopped him from adopting tools his family’s earlier generations never had. “Today’s business landscape demands innovation, technology, branding, and adaptability. I have embraced digital marketing, personal branding, content creation, and modern consumer engagement while staying true to the principles that built our legacy,” Jaitha says. “Respecting the past while preparing for the future has been the key to maintaining that balance.”

Why He Built a Personal Brand Alongside the Family Business

For Jaitha, personal branding isn’t a vanity project running parallel to his real work. He sees it as inseparable from how business gets done now.

“Today, people don’t just invest in companies—they invest in people behind those companies,” he says. “Personal branding allows entrepreneurs to build trust, credibility, and authentic relationships with their audience.” His books, TEDx talk, and the SDJ Podcast have all served that purpose. “Through my books, TEDx talk, SDJ Podcast, and digital platforms, I have been able to connect with people beyond business and share stories that inspire,” Jaitha says. “In today’s digital economy, your personal brand becomes your reputation, your network, and often your greatest business asset. Authenticity, consistency, and value-driven content are what truly make a lasting impact.”

What Hosting a Podcast Has Taught Him About Leadership

The SDJ Podcast has put Jaitha across the table from entrepreneurs, wellness experts, artists, and changemakers, and he says the lessons have accumulated into something bigger than any single conversation.

“Hosting the SDJ Podcast has been one of the most enriching experiences of my journey,” he says. Across those conversations, one theme kept resurfacing. “Every conversation has reinforced one common lesson—success is never accidental. It is built on resilience, discipline, continuous learning, and the courage to embrace change.” The experience has changed how he thinks about leadership itself. “These conversations have broadened my perspective, challenged my thinking, and reminded me that no matter how accomplished someone becomes, humility and curiosity remain essential qualities of great leaders.”

AI, Automation, and What Won’t Be Replaced

Jaitha sees artificial intelligence as one of the defining forces of his generation of entrepreneurs, but he’s careful to separate what it can do from what it can’t.

“Artificial Intelligence is undoubtedly one of the biggest transformations businesses will experience in our lifetime,” he says. “AI is making operations more efficient, improving customer experiences, personalizing marketing, and accelerating innovation.” Still, he draws a firm boundary around what he believes stays human. “While AI can automate tasks, it cannot replace human creativity, emotional intelligence, ethics, or genuine relationships,” Jaitha says. “Entrepreneurs should embrace AI as a powerful tool while continuing to invest in critical thinking, creativity, leadership, and authentic storytelling. The future belongs to those who combine technology with human values.”

The Message Behind the TEDx Stage

When Jaitha steps onto a stage to speak, he’s not chasing applause. He’s after one specific shift in how the audience sees themselves.

“Whenever I speak on a TEDx stage or address an audience, my message remains simple—believe in yourself before expecting the world to believe in you,” he says. “Every individual has a unique story, and challenges should never define our future.” That message comes from lived experience, not theory. “My own journey, including overcoming personal health challenges and pursuing multiple passions, has taught me that resilience and belief can transform lives,” Jaitha says. “I hope people leave with the confidence to dream bigger, embrace failure as a teacher, and take action despite uncertainty.”

Discipline Over Motivation

Ask Jaitha what actually drives long-term success, and he doesn’t reach for anything abstract. He points to habits repeated on ordinary days.

“Consistency has always been more powerful than motivation,” he says. “I believe discipline is choosing your goals over temporary comfort every single day.” His own routine reflects that philosophy. “Reading, continuous learning, maintaining my health, staying organised, and surrounding myself with positive, growth-oriented people have been some of the habits that contributed to my journey.” He’s equally direct about the role setbacks play. “There will always be setbacks, criticism, and unexpected challenges, but success belongs to those who remain committed to the process even when results take time.”

Building Credibility Online Without Chasing Attention

With a growing digital following, Jaitha has developed strong opinions about what social media is actually for, and what it isn’t.

“Social media should never be treated as a platform to simply seek attention—it should be used to create value and build trust,” he says. His own content strategy reflects that principle. “I focus on sharing authentic experiences, meaningful conversations, entrepreneurial insights, wellness, books, podcasts, and brand collaborations that genuinely align with my values,” Jaitha says. “Consistency, quality content, and engaging with the audience have helped me build credibility over time.” His long-term bet is on substance over spectacle. “Authenticity always outlasts trends, and people appreciate creators who remain genuine rather than trying to impress everyone; a philosophy also reflected in building a brand on integrity rather than speed.”

What’s Next

Between the family business, the podcast, and his ventures as an author and speaker, Jaitha’s ambitions for the years ahead span several fronts at once.

“My long-term vision is to continue building businesses that create meaningful impact while expanding my influence as an author, entrepreneur, speaker, and content creator,” he says. The SDJ Podcast sits high on that list. “I want the SDJ Podcast to become a globally recognised platform for powerful conversations with inspiring personalities from around the world.” Beyond that, he’s eyeing further growth on multiple tracks. “I also look forward to launching new ventures, writing more books, growing Crunch & Munch, strengthening our family business, and mentoring young entrepreneurs,” Jaitha says. “Ultimately, I want my work to inspire people to dream bigger, live healthier, and create lasting value.”

Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Asked what he’d tell entrepreneurs just starting out, Jaitha’s advice is less about strategy and more about mindset.

“My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is simple—start before you feel ready and never stop learning,” he says. “Focus on solving real problems rather than chasing quick success. Build your reputation with integrity because trust is the strongest currency in business; the same principle behind building a successful startup in the GCC.” He’s equally emphatic about the long game. “Invest in your personal brand, remain consistent, embrace technology, and never underestimate the power of resilience. Success is not built overnight; it is created through thousands of small, disciplined actions repeated over time. Stay patient, stay authentic, and always remember that your greatest competition is the person you were yesterday.”

A Guiding Principle for the Next Generation

Asked for one final message to leave the next generation of entrepreneurs and leaders, Jaitha returns to a single word that has anchored his entire journey.

“Success is not measured only by the wealth you create but by the lives you positively influence,” he says. “Build with purpose, lead with integrity, and never compromise your values for temporary gains.” That principle, he says, comes down to something simple. “The guiding principle that has shaped my journey is simple—Believe. Because when you truly believe in yourself, remain consistent, and work with purpose, extraordinary things become possible.”
